DPEO Pulwama chairs meeting of Nodal officers

 District Panchayat Election Officer (DPEO) Pulwama, Dr Raghav Langer today convened a meeting of Nodal Officers, BDO’s and other designated officers for holding of Panchayat by-elections in the district, a press statement said.
During the meeting, Nodal Officers, BDO’s and other officers briefed the DPEO about the arrangements put in place across the district for smooth conduct of by-elections.
The DPEO impressed upon the officers to strictly adhere to the rules and guidelines of the election authority and ensure compliance with model code of conduct across the district.
He also directed the officers to ensure fool-proof arrangements in their respective jurisdiction and maintain close coordination for greater success of the election process.
The DPEO asked the concerned officers to keep various teams like Static Surveillance Teams, MCC teams, communication plans, ballot boxes, transport plan and media control room ready for smooth conduct of by-elections.
It was given out in the meeting that by-elections will be held in 11 blocks of the district for 1140 Panch constituencies at 157 locations.
Among others, the meeting was attended by ADC Pulwama,Tral and Awantipora besides ACD and other officers.
