Doon International School bags 5 medals in roller skating championship

 Doon International School (DIS) students mesmerized the spectators and  sports enthusiasts by their exceptional skills and talent in the first-ever Sher-i- Khas Roller Skating Championship event that was held at Radpora on Friday.

The championship was held under the aegis of J& K Sports Council in collaboration with Ice Skating Association of J& K, ATOK, Down Town  Bazar Committee and Department of Tourism.
The competition which was  undertaken by the J & K Roller Skating Chief Coach M. Ashraf Dijoo, witnessed participation of 60 roller skaters

Director, Department of Tourism, who was the Chief Guest,  gave away the prizes and acknowledged the participants and the contribution of all concerned for the success of the event.

Chairman DIS,  Showkat Hussain Khan was full of praise for his students. He acknowledged the organising bodies and whole heartedly appreciated the DIS coach, M. Ashraf Diju for his contribution to promote the sporting activity in the downtown area even during the ongoing phase of a pandemic.
