DC Budgam holds public darbar at Wadwan Soibugh

District Development Commissioner Budgam, Tariq Hussain Ganaie Wednesday held a public darbar at Girls Higher Secondary School, Wadwan to take first hand appraisal of public grievances and demands.
Various public deputations from Wadwan and adjacent villages, senior citizens, representatives from local Baitulmaal, SHG members and individuals raised their demands and issues during the darbar.
On the occasion, the DDC said that entire Wadwan area will be connected to Sukhnag-2 WSS to supply potable drinking tap water to every household on priority.
Stressing on the sustainable development of the area, the DDC instructed R&B Budgam to start work on the road widening and macadamization in the area for better connectivity.
He said concerted efforts are being made to ensure better health care facilities across the district and demands including space crunch and filing of vacancies in Health and Education sectors will be fulfilled on fast-track basis.
During darbar, the DDC instructed concerned Tehsildar to identify land for the development of Community Hall and Playground in village besides, a patch of land required for shifting High School from rented Auqaf building.
The DDC assured the locals that the Regarding Railway Station Halt at Naidgam will be started with in next 10 days, thus fulfilling a long pending demand of the locals.
The DDC on spot directed concerned officers to ensure prompt and speedy redressal of issues raised during darbar particularly improvement in power supply, road connectivity, development of lanes and by-lanes, health and education facilities.
He instructed concerned to remove roadside encroachments to decongest the Wadwan roads besides improving public transport system in the area and urged the youth to be partners in this endeavor by starting cab services in the areas.
The DDC assured that he would take up all genuine issues with the relevant quarters for their prompt resolution.
Among others, the public darbar was also attended by JD Panning, SE PDD, SDM Beerwah, CMO Budgam, CEO, ACD, Ex.Ens, PHE, PDD, DSWO, DYSSO, AD Fisheries, Tehsildar, BDO, and other concerned.
Earlier, DDC visited PHC Wadwan and took stock of the health facilities being provided to patients there. During the visit, the DDC sanctioned CBC analyzer for the health centre.
