Banning Chinese mobile apps is tribute to martyrs of Galwan valley: BJP

A day after Government of India (GoI) banned Chinese apps in India, Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) Youth Wing’s National Vice President Er Aijaz Hussain said that it will not only be a tribute to the martyrs of Galwan Valley but will also will open opportunities for local entrepreneurs, a step that take the nation towards becoming the self-reliant economy.

“It is a welcome and much needed step,” Hussain who is also Youth in-charge West Bengal said in a statement. “On one side it will make the china bleed while on the other it will make us stronger. It shows we are ruled by a visionary Prime Minister who will make India great once again.”

Hussain made the statement after the government banned 59 Chinese mobile applications including top social media platforms such as TikTok, Helo and WeChat to counter the threat posed by these applications to the country’s “sovereignty and security.” ShareIT, UC browser and shopping app Clubfactory are among the other prominent apps that have been blocked amid rising tensions between India and China following clashes at the border in Ladakh where more than 20 Jawans gave their life.

The government had said the applications are engaged in activities “prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defence of India, security of state and public order.” The move which was music to the ears for all Indians could come as a blow to China’s Digital Silk Route ambitions, eroding the valuation of the companies.

According to Hussain, the move shows how a decision that can empower the country while at the same time will teach lesson.

“Aatmanirbhar Bharat, an initiative towards self-reliance is the end achievement of the move. It is just a matter of time to reap the benefits, Chinese were given befitting reply in the past, they are given now, and will be given in future,” he added.

Hussain said that Atmanirbhar (self-reliant) initiative has been very well received to enable the resurgence of the Indian economy, which is based on five pillars that include economy, infrastructure, system, vibrant demography and demand.

“We are winning every day under the able leadership of Prime Minister Modi,” he added.
