6 more deaths take JK toll to 1523

581 fresh cases, tally 97,805

Six more COVID-19 patients have died in the past 24 hours, taking the number of casualties in J&K to 1523, while Friday witnessed 581 fresh cases, pushing the total infection tally to 97,805, officials said.
As per the government, the fresh casualties include four from Kashmir division including and two from Jammu division.
With the fresh casualties, the death toll due to novel coronavirus has soared to 1523 in Jammu and Kashmir, which include 1009 from Kashmir and 514 from Jammu.
So far, Srinagar has reported 373 deaths, Baramulla 147, Budgam 94, Pulwama 83, Kupwara 73, Anantnag 75, Kulgam 48, Bandipora 46, Shopian 35, and Ganderbal 35.
In Jammu division, Jammu district has reported 265 deaths, 48 each from Rajouri and Doda, Kathua 33, Samba 25, Udhampur 32, Poonch 22, Ramban 18, Kishtwar 15 and Reasi eight.
On Friday, J&K reported 581 fresh coronavirus cases, which include 353 from Kashmir and 228 from Jammu division, pushing the total infection tally to 97,805.
The government said of the total 24,39,196 test results available, 23,41,391 returned negative and 97,805 positive which include 5,745 active positive cases while 70,537 have recovered and been discharged including 632 persons discharged during the past 24 hours.
It said, so far, 66,48,83 persons had been put under observation including 15,401 in home quarantine and 5,745 in isolation while 43,559 people are under home surveillance and 59,86,55 persons have completed their surveillance period.
In Kashmir, Srinagar has a total of 20,159 cases, Budgam 6407, Baramulla 6175, Pulwama 4745, Anantnag 4286, Bandipora 4111, Kupwara 4613, Ganderbal 3666, Kulgam 2506 and Shopian 2249.
In Jammu division, Jammu district has a total of 18,179 cases, Rajouri 3244, Udhampur 2786, Kathua 2498, Doda 2701, Samba 2207, Poonch 2283, Ramban 1661, Kishtwar 2006, and Reasi 1323.
