Acquainting France and her allies with the purest and unstained character of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) would go a long run in softening the hearts than resorting to violence
The recent insulting and hurtful comments of Emmanuel Macron, the President of France against Islam, and the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), represent a dark event in the history of France. No country with sanity could accept such a sheer display of irresponsibility on the part of Macron.
French president hardly knew that he sowed the seeds of hatred among people of different nations. He not only endorsed Charlie Hebdo cartoons but allowed those insulting and hurting caricatures to display on top government buildings. He equaled Islam with terrorism and pronounced blatantly that Islam is in crisis worldwide. He remained firm on his stand that France won’t give up making cartoons.
This puts a grave question mark on the secular nature of the country itself! It also signals a ridicule of freedom of speech. Freedom of thought and expression would never assume the color of such type as French government promotes.
The Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) consistently forbade his followers from mocking anyone or making fun of anyone. He (PBUH) urged to call others with their good names and never allowed or endorsed to laugh at the jokes made on others, though he (PBUH) always wore a smile on his (PBUH) beautiful face.
For him (PBUH), dignity and honor of a human being was above all concerns. The history bears ample testimony that he (PBUH) never used harsh words against other faiths or their followers. He (PBUH) never ridiculed any nation, race or community. He (PBUH) never punished or criminalized the whole community for the crime committed by a single or few persons. He (PBUH) always restrained himself from making gross generalizations.
During battles, he (PBUH) warned his companions from harming any non-combatant, children, women, old and the sick. He (PBUH) would never sanction the destruction of property, crops or pastures though they belonged to the staunch enemies of Islam and the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Though his (PBUH) bitter, enemies dragged and mutilated the bodies of his (PBUH) beloved companions and relatives but in return he (PBUH) ensured that even the body of his deadly enemies be buried with honor and respect.
The Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) always retaliate a bad deed with a good one, a bad remark with a good gesture. Though the polytheists of Makkah and the Jews of Madinah would never miss a chance to hurl abuses and insults to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), he (PBUH) is never reported to have done the likewise.
He (PBUH) would himself and his companions moved away calmly. Else, stereotyping a particular community would never appeal to his (PBUH) mind. Pride, prejudice, jealousy, haughtiness, arrogance, superiority complex were strongly discouraged by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
The Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his companions had an unshaken faith in their message and mission and that made to stand firm against false propaganda leveled against Islam. The Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was mocked and addressed by hurtful names, physically assaulted, emotionally and psychologically injured, however, he kept moving forward without listening to the sick minded and haughty men.
He (PBUH) didn’t carry the spirit of revenge and never allowed hatred to occupy his (PBUH) mind. He (PBUH) had been sent as a mercy to all and one irrespective of caste, creed, color, race and gender. He (PBUH) left the traces of his mercy everywhere and for everyone. He (PBUH) cherished and preserved the legacy of all prophets (PBUT) of Allah, valued, preserved, and summed up the pious teachings of all saintly men.
It is the prime duty of Muslims who have unwavering love and faith for the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his (PBUH) Sunnah to preach, practice and propagate his teachings to the world even if it is bent upon to hate them.
Winning over foes through love and polite argumentation are much stressed upon teachings of Quran and Sunnah of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Acquainting France and her allies with the purest and unstained character of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) would go a long run in softening the hearts than resorting to violence.
Good and evil are not the same, says Allah in the Quran. “I have come to demonstrate the perfection of manners.” Actions speak louder than words. Let the remarks of Emmanuel Macron intensify us to emulate the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) more vigorously and let humanity find the expression of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) mercy and compassion through us.
